Recently, I decided to walk away from a safe career and take the risk that I will find something that makes me happy. I did this because I had been unhappy for a long time. I am not suggesting to others that you do the same. Nor, do I want you to think that I am in any kind of special circumstance that makes it easier or safer for me. When I quit my job I had $27 in savings and $150 in my checking and one paycheck still to be paid out that would cover bills for a month. So, no it was not the smart thing, or the safe thing, but so far it has felt like the right thing. I thought it would be fun to chronicle my experiences as I search for my next thing. The career I just left was nursing which I was in for more than a decade. Now, please don't get offended. My dislike is nothing more than it wasn't the right thing for me.
